"My experience at the hotel was great! The food was delicious at both the AMVETS and at Zoggs! I would not change a thing about this weekend. Everything, absolutely everything was very well coordinated. I had an amazing time. I can’t ask for more, you all go ABOVE & BEYOND to make us feel special. I love the flexibility offered and how smooth and relaxed the agenda went. But most important, I got to see all my FRIENDS AGAIN! Thanks for flipping my frown upside down Jim! Thanks for loving us and for such an amazing program! God Bless you all! Look forward to seeing you again while hosting a paint party for the Warrior Weekend Program. Love you all!!!!" Name: Staff Sergeant Connie Barlow "To begin with, let me say THANK YOU!!! In my opinion, there is no reason to express anything but gratitude for: the hotel arrangements, the food at the hotel (thanks for the cookies), the meal the restaurant provided for me, the itinerary that was provided for me, the flexibility, which was what I needed to rest. In my opinion, the scheduled activities that were set up, lunch and dinner were perfect. How can someone improve a weekend that was PERFECT? Thanks again for everything. I appreciate everyone that was involved. God Bless You" Name: Sergeant Laura Greico "The weekend was amazing. Communication was excellent. I appreciated the fact that someone had already checked everyone in at the hotel and every event had a great atmosphere. Nothing bad to comment on my end. This trip was much needed and very appreciated. Thanks again: Jim, Buddy, Karen, Tom, Ron, Kae, and everyone else involved with this weekend." |

"The hotel arrangements were fantastic – great location, room was comfortable for two people, had all the essentials. Having parking was a plus as well as the generous funds for food/gas and tolls. The food at the hotel was delicious and filling. The décor made it a wonderful experience. The food at the restaurant was very tasty. The only improvement I would suggest would be to introduce us to the new faces. It was unclear if I should have initiated contact or wait to be introduced. The itinerary and flexibility are a sustain. It allowed me time to either relax and/or site see at my leisure. Meeting at the AMVETS was very humbling and very thoughtful of Jim to introduce us. This was the first time since being back in Kuwait to have been thanked for my service. If there was to be a scheduled activity, perhaps it would be a meet and greet ice breaker activity. Overall, I give this weekend 5 out of 5 stars. My mom enjoyed herself. We both walked the beach and were thankful to spend time together. It brought back childhood memories from Trinidad. Thank you for planning this trip. It was by far the best highlight of being a patient at the SRU. Although I have been to Delaware, I have never experienced Rehoboth Beach. I have a goal to either go someplace new or experience something new every year. With this Warrior Weekend, you made this possible. Please, if I can be of service by volunteering virtually, I would be honored to help you continue thus wonderful mission. Thanks again for providing a refreshing, relaxing and comfortable weekend for myself, my mom and my fellow teammates." Name: First Sergeant Teray Bundy "The weekend was amazing. "This trip was absolutely amazing! Buddy and Tom really care about soldiers and their families. As I retired this week, this will probably be my last trip like this. I am honored to have spent my time on this trip, with these people and this organization. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves tremendously." Name: Master Sergeant Chris Havermale "A huge thanks for the Warrior Weekend Program! Tom and Buddy were the perfect hosts. I want to express my sincere gratitude for a wonderful trip to Chincoteague. I cannot think of a single thing that would make it better other than I wish more people could enjoy this experience. Perfect weekend included the hotel, hotel staff, group size and a family friendly schedule." Name: Sergeant Abigail George "You guys did an excellent job. You make the soldiers and their families feel so exceptional. We had a comfortable stay at the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. I think that you guys let us know that you are so much interested in your soldiers. The soldiers work hard and get wounded, but doing this often makes them feel that you care for them and they can come and relax and enjoy and take the stress away. Please continue to do this more often. Mentally it is good, socially and spiritually it is very good." |

"First off, I would like to say THANK YOU from the top of my 8 to all who are/were involved. Even though there are a lot of soldiers could have been picked for the trip, I am thankful to have been picked to enjoy these for days. I had a great time. I had a lot of laughs. I enjoyed the company. All of the establishments we ate at had the best customer service. There is no need to complain for such an exciting time with the parade as well. There is no need to complain about nothing! Thank you again and God Bless Everyone!" Name: Sergeant Laura Greico "We had an absolutely wonderful time!! The hotel was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and convenient. Our only complaint was the hotel never made the beds, but we didn’t really care. Being on the water was especially nice. The boat ride was actually magical and the crew we worked with were fun, professional, informative and clearly passionate about the area. What a phenomenal experience seeing the ponies so close! Getting to choose our lunch sandwich was a nice perk too! Buddy and Tom were so kind and friendly, going above and beyond. It was apparent they have a passion for soldiers and their families. They connected with us like we were family and that meant so much. This trip was just right with the amount of planned activities and plenty of free time. I also liked that the email shared some options of what to do with the free time, so the research was already done. The Island Creamery stops daily were a lot of fun!!! Great recommendation, what a treat. Felt like a kid!!!" |

"Great relaxing weekend!!! My wife and I loved the NFL Films tour. The kids got a little rammy but they had fun as well. The accommodations were amazing, nice room, good breakfast ad the kids loved the swimming pool. The dinners were fantastic! It was a great time sitting and talking with fellow warriors and families as well the Warrior Weekend Staff. Joe, Garth and Donna, you are so kind, caring and friendly. The leftovers found a good home FYI. It was very convenient that our dinners were within a few minutes walk from the hotel. I do not know the inner workings of these trips, but I sincerely want to thank the Warrior Weekend Program staff, the NFL Films, the Marriott, Maggianos, the Irion Hill Brewery and the man that drove our bus. I am also thankful for the Warrior Weekend staff flexibility. I spoke with Jim Lafferty about checking in at the hotel. He was very helpful as Thursday was both our daughters last day of school and we had a pre-K graduation for Millie. Joe Green met us in the lobby on Friday morning. Garth and Donna were with him to explain everything and give us our room key, breakfast vouchers and funds to cover our gas and tolls expenses. Joe was nice enough to walk us to our room, thankfully so, it’s a big hotel. The funds to cover our gas and tolls was a very, very nice gesture and very thoughtful. Even though the weekend was free, gas and toll money was very nice. The schedule was very flexible and allowed us sone down time to relax, reset and do other things as a family. Thank you all so very much. Kevin, Stephanie, Anya and Emelia". Name: First Sergeant Teray Bundy "Joe, Garth and Donna were amazing hosts! The hotel, food and restaurants had great hospitality and definitely made us feel welcome and at home. The trip to the NFL Studio was an experience in itself. They catered to the Warrior Weekend Program; gave us a very informative tour and lunch was delicious. Don’t change a thing and we appreciate everything the Warrior Weekend Program has done and will continue doing to support veterans. Thank you!!!" |

"First and foremost, a big thank you to Garth, Donna and Joe for an amazing weekend! The weekend wouldn’t be possible without you guys. Jenny and I loved every activity that was included. We believe the hotel was a great choice, not only due to the location but also how nice it was. Dinner with the other families helped us to meet other soldiers in the SRU (Soldier Recovery Unit) that we wouldn’t have met before. The scheduling of activities as well I thought was planned perfectly. It gave us enough time to explore Philly on our own. The only improvement I would say is to go to a Phillies game, but I understand due to them changing the time was the reason. Totally out of your control. All on all, the weekend was a 10/10. I would love to do it again. What you all do for us veterans is totally amazing. P.S. Hail to the /Redskins!!!!" Name: First Class Tony Henley, Jr. "When I arrived at check in at the hotel, it was a smooth process because the Warrior Weekend Staff already had my room key upon my arrival. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The time set for dinner at night was great because it allowed time to enjoy the sites. The tour of the NFL Films Studio was phenomenal!! All the way from the staff to the lunch and the facility tour. I was surprised with the gift I received at the end of the tour. I wouldn’t change anything besides making the weekend longer because I really enjoyed myself. Mr. Joe, Garth and Ms. Donna were amazing. I will definitely do this again. I recommend that everyone has a chance to take a trip. Thank you very much." |

"This organization was truly incredible and gave my family and me an experience we’ll never forget. Their kindness, dedication and support created beautiful memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. I’m deeply grateful for all the volunteers and their hard work in making such a meaningful event possible, not just for us, but for so many wounded families as well. Hotel accommodations were beyond expectations and the staff were very pleasant. The food choices could not have been better; my family and I enjoyed such a wonderful dinner. The entire team was super flexible and the itinerary was thoughtfully organized, making everything easy to follow without feeling rushed or overwhelming. I would recommend the same experience to the next group. Thank you, Scott, Kelly, Garth and Donna, for making this an unforgettable experience." "We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Hershey Park. We have been a family who never went on trips with units due to the timeline requirements of attending certain events. So when this trip came up for us to attend, I was hesitant on if it would be like that. When we received the itinerary, it was a breath if fresh air that this was going to be a lot more time with the kids and enjoy each other than sitting in meetings with work persons. The highlight of the weekend was being able to not worry about anything, not having to tell our kids no to the silly toys they wanted because we are counting how much we are spending on food and stuff around the park. We were able to bring my sisters to the park with us to help out with the kids when we didn’t have any expectations of adding them to our family expenses for the trip and the program said we could add them, no problem, no issues! It was an amazing surprise. We enjoyed meeting the team and they were so loving and caring about each family and what they were there to do for us. It was very nice to have made connections with the team and would love to be able to give back to other families once I am fully transitioned into veteran life. Again, nothing but positive feedback for our weekend. Thank you again for allowing my family to participate in your weekend. Thank you again!" "This Warrior Weekend Trip was an incredible opportunity for me to step away from the daily stressors and focus on healing. The well-planned activities, supportive environment and a sense of camaraderie made the experience both uplifting and meaningful. The volunteers created a very welcoming atmosphere where I and my fellow service members felt valued and included. The weekend balanced fun, relaxation and personal growth in a way that totally mad a difference for all who attended. The hotel room was veery clean and comfortable and accessible for all my needs. The location was convenient and made the weekend a true getaway. The trio to Chincoteague was amazing because I had a chance to see other beautiful/historic sites. The food/meals provided and served at the restaurants was amazing and deserve a 5 star. I am a very flexible person and I am very open to trying new things as long as, they are positive. So, yes, I would also love scheduled activities. Overall, the trip provided more than recreation. It fostered community, resilience and some renewed motivation. I, (and hopefully my colleagues), left with stronger bonds, lasting memories and a reminder that we are not alone on our journey. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the amazing support rendered by the Warrior Weekend Program volunteers. Their dedication created a warm and welcome environment throughout the weekend. They went above and beyond my expectations, ensuring every warrior and their loved ones felt valued and cared for." Name: Specialist Alina Chamlagai "The hotel arrangement was great. WE liked the fact that breakfast came with the room and there was 24/7 tea and coffee available. The restaurants we went to were great. My only complaint is that we might have gained 10 pounds because of how great the food was. Kudos to whoever put the itinerary together because it was a great blend of scheduled activities and free time. Having a free day to either explore the island and sleep in was just what we needed. Overall, the weekend was way beyond our expectations. The great food, friendly volunteers (Tom and Buddy) and sea breeze was just what we needed. Thank you for a memorable weekend." |

"I had an amazing weekend to celebrate my birthday on the trip and it was all I could have wished for. The restaurants were great. The cruise was nice and most importantly I was surrounded by my family. The atmosphere was filled with joy. Thank you so much. Abigail’s mom joined her on the trip and she commented: “thank you so much for the soldiers. You volunteered your time and everything for these soldiers. We really appreciate all that you guys are doing. Please continue doing what you are doing. Please be the best you can. We love you all and may God Bless you”. Name: Major Dyema LeMar "I want to sincerely thank the Warrior Weekend Team for organizing this trip. The effort, planning and care that goes into these weekends makes a significant difference and positive impact in the lives of wounded warriors. This experience means so much more than a weekend of rest and relaxation. They are about restoring connection, community and hope. Your commitment allows us to step away from the daily challenges of recovery and instead focus on healing, comradery and joy. That impact cannot be overstated. The hospitality and genuine kindness shown throughout the weekend reminds us we are not alone and that our sacrifices are honored and valued. Please know that your work has a lasting impact on the well being of soldiers. You are helping us move forward with renewed and for that I am deeply grateful. Thank you again for giving your time, energy and heart to this mission. I would not change a thing." Name: Seargeant First Class Yiesena Nunez "The hotel arrangement was great. There were no issues. Couldn’t ask for a better view. The food at the hotel was good. The restaurants we ate at were delicious! From start to finish it was amazing. Buddy, Tom and Paul were so welcoming. This trip was more than I was expecting. I’m not sure if the weekends can improve any more than what it already is. I really enjoyed the boat ride. I definitely want to come back. It was also nice that we had a day to do our own thing. I give the whole experience 10/10. The gift cards for ice cream were so nice. I just want to thank everyone who made it possible for us to have this trip. I definitely needed this time away." |

"Hotel arrangements: Checking in was a smooth pleasant experience. Room was very clean and home-like/comfy beds. The food at Zoggs was amazing, great service and accommodating. The food at AMVETS was delicious, filling and we especially enjoyed how kind and welcoming and appreciative everyone was. We thank them for their service and donations. The gifts were thoughtful and unexpected. The scheduled meals were perfect and we definitely enjoyed sleeping in and relaxing and being able to move at our own pace. No additional improvements to add about the program, everything was perfect. Our overall impression of this weekend: The Warrior Weekend Program gave us an unforgettable 4-day, 3-night, all-expense paid trip to Rehoboth Beach that was relaxing, rewarding and full of fun. Every detail was so well planned, allowing us to totally unwind and enjoy our time together. We cannot thank them enough for their incredible generosity and dedication to supporting veterans and their families". Name: STAFF SERGEANT MEZA-KREHN "First, thank you for putting together an amazing retreat for us. This vacation provided us a much-needed alleviation to my family and stressors at home. The hotel arrangements were thorough and straightforward. The full itinerary of directions, activities and food with the initial email and follow-up call were fantastic to set our expectations and preparations prior to arrival. The location, restaurants and flexibility were outstanding and I do not have any form of improvements to mention. Overall, we are extremely grateful for all the volunteers putting this together as we navigate recovery and transition from the military. |

"The trip was awesome and we enjoyed it. The hotel arrangements were great! The location and the activities were perfect being that I have a large family. I loved meeting everyone at the AMVETS Post and the hospitality was amazing. We are looking forward to the next trip. As far as any way to improve the weekends, no suggestions, we love challenge coins." Name: CAPTAIN NGOCBICH FLORENTINO "First off, thank you so much for your organization’s generosity and support for the recovering soldiers like myself and others. The hotel we stayed at is wonderful. We especially liked the heated pool and the location is unbeatable. It makes everything so much easier to be able to walk everywhere and not worry about parking. The restaurant you chose for the weekend was also very good. The food was great. Things to improve on: Maybe one or two activities that we can do as a group together to meet other participants, their families and also the volunteers. The setup for dinner could be changed in a way that allows the participants to talk with each other or a meet and greet. Overall, the weekend was very relaxing for my family. My son loves the beach and you put smiles on our faces. More importantly, long lasting memories were created here, thanks to your organization. It’s a wonderful thing you all are doing. We can’t thank you enough." Name: SPECIALIST DESTENY SMITH "My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed all the hotel had to offer despite the poor weather. The food, the atmosphere was wonderful including the boardwalk, hotel staff and the AMVETS personnel. The trip was planned thoughtfully and allowed for each soldier to maximize their time to the fullest. My only recommendation is for a meet and greet earlier in the trip so that the option to spend time together or schedule group activities can be conducted." |

"A great relaxing weekend as always. We really enjoy coming to see everyone here. It’s always a great time with new memories. A new suggestion is to have a dinner on Saturday night at the same Post, Post 28. They stated they have a very big crowd. Do this instead of lunch. Thank you for everything." NAME: SERGEANT FIRST CLASS CHARLISA CUMMINS "The mission of the warrior Weekend Program – To provide a weekend of rest and relaxation and fun for injured heroes and their families was clearly reflected throughout the experience. The program offered a meaningful opportunity to relax, reconnect and participate in the activities at or own pace.
