"Had an amazing time! The itinerary, planning, everything was wonderful. Most of all the loving hospitality I received from everyone. I have never felt so loved by strangers in my life. I appreciate all everyone has done for us. Made forever lasting memories and met incredible people and became part of the Legion Family that I will always keep dear to me". |

"I had a wonderful time at Rehoboth Beach Delaware. The American Legion, the Sons of the American Legion and the Warrior Weekend Program provided me with a pleasant and enjoyable weekend. I enjoyed visiting Fort Miles and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We had a blast at American Legion posts 5 and 17. The food was excellent. Melissa's Bed and Breakfast provided a comfortable and relaxing environment. The breakfast at Melissa's was outstanding and pleasant in the morning. I would like to thank the veterans and volunteers for the enjoyable and relaxing weekend, despite the weather." |

"Great weekend get away!! Rod and Dave Rod and Dave were awesome and extremely accommodating. I love how some things are planned – like dinners and such that way we were never waiting to be seated. I also like the option to do what we want during the day. They gave us options and let us decide which made it really nice. The Warrior Weekend Trips that I’ve been on have always been great and they all the dame feel –relaxing, accommodating, a fun time with awesome people. Hope to see Rod and Dave on a future trip and some of the others we’ve met on previous trips as well. Thank you all so much!! NAME: MICHAEL CORNELL Great Trip!! It’s been awhile and we were very happy to get to go on another Warrior Weekend Trip and see Rod and Dave again. We always try to tell others at the Warrior Transition Unit to ensure they go on these trips. They always do a great job, are flexible with the group and count on a relaxing weekend. This was a great Baltimore weekend. Great food, several restaurants, aquarium, science center, IMAX and a boat ride. Couldn’t ask for more! I Hope to come to Rehoboth, DE outside of a normal event and get to stop at the Legion to say thanks and meet more of the Warrior Weekend Group. If you are ever on your way to Fort Belvoir and need a pit stop around Kent Narrows/Queenstown, give Jess and I a call. Thanks again! |

I had a blessed time on this weekend with my husband, thank you. I think the number of guests should be limited to one so we can have a better organized group with a higher accountability and time management. I suggest for future trips we should pre-arrange some of the attractions. The majority of the people did not know exactly what they were to do, especially in a new environment. Less choices to choose form means easier decision process. Also because most of us are active duty members, arrangement beforehand means military discount and saving money for more people to join us on the trip. Again, it was a blessing that we could be on this trip with everyone. Thanks so much for providing the trip and service to us. NAME: KEN LETOURNEAV Great Trip!!! The only thing I might improve is coordinating more events ahead of time and being aware of the walking capabilities of the warriors. Rod and Dave are awesome and help out with everything the best they could. Kudos to both of them! Tell Uncle Jim we missed him on this trip. NAME: SERGEANT KARLA CALDERA This was exactly what the name says, a wonderful weekend getaway!! Thank you for taking me out of the barracks and the hospital environment. The weekend trip was top notch: great hotel, excellent people, great food and company. It was a very relaxed adventure with many options to suit everyone’s taste. And, when it got too much for my body, Rod and Dave were right there to assist. You can’t improve perfect!! Thank you! |

"The Warrior Weekend crew are a great set of personnel. Their willingness to support recovering and transition service members is a great sacrifice. The trip had a great fun factor as well as significance in exploring historical sites. Thank you for your support and time." Name: MSG Elena Bertrand "Such an amazing group of people! Everyone cares about the well-being of the wounded warriors and puts us a number one for the weekend. The NFL Film Studios showed their appreciation for the military and all we do. We were able to see some amazing things and ate some great dinners! The trip was very well planned. Thank you for everything you guys do throughout the year just to make our lives a little easier, more relaxed and appreciated. We do appreciate you!!" |

"I want to thank you for sponsoring the Philadelphia Warrior Weekend Event. I had a great time. The choice of events was great especially the tour of the NFL Films. The accommodations at the Marriott were very comforting and having access to the concierge was very valuable. The Warrior Weekend staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend some item such as a t-shirt or hat or a name tag that is easily visible that the troops could wear that will identify them as part of the group. This will be useful if the troops will be part of a larger crowd. Again, I had a wonderful time. All went well and I would recommend your program/trips to others." Name: SFC Mendoza Wallace "Scott and Garth were great from pick up to drop off! The trip was great! They were very helpful with the tour of Philadelphia. I would recommend they change nothing with what they are doing. I had an awesome time." |

"Not enough can be said about Scott, Candice, Garth and Donna. They were amazing and surprised us at each moment with another surprise, happiness, positivity, love and friendship. The trip far exceeded our expectations; and I have not seen my family smile as they did this weekend in a very long time. At no time was anything even remotely wrong with the trip and we cannot thank you enough for the support, camaraderie and love shown to all of this this weekend. Thank you for what you do to make our service member's lives a little less stressful during the medical rehabilitation process." Name: Sergeant David Gaskin "This weekend experience was really great! It was very good and relaxing. I will recommend the program to all the soldiers who will be following me and tell them to sign up for the events. I appreciate everything you guys did for us. As far as the weekend comments go, I do not have anything negative to say, it was just a great weekend." |

"Thank you so much for everything. Once again, an amazing group who always puts us wounded warriors above everything. The men and women of Kingston went out of their way to show us an amazing time! It was great food, an amazing site-seeing and an amazing time with people we can call family. The three days away went by way too fast. We were not ready to leave! We have not been able to smile this much in months! I was able to share my birthday this weekend with family. Thank you again for everything. We missed you “Uncle Jim”. That is all we were missing". Name: CPT Duane Leist "Thank you very much for everything. Everyone worked so hard. The events seemed to be great for people of all ages. Everyone had fun. The enjoyed the bus, the trains and the boat. The only thing I would have added would be a little down time to nap and exercise my toddlers on Saturday. Once again, thank you". Name: PFC Shanequa Roebuck "I really enjoyed everything we did on the trip. I don’t have any bad things to say about it. The love that I have felt during this weekend has been amazing. I appreciate every last person that put this weekend together. I hope to get to visit again next year." |

"First, let me say thank you. This was a wonderful weekend getaway. The hosts for this event were welcoming. Everyone genuinely cared and were willing to do anything to accommodate us! Woodstock was amazing; the meals were great! I enjoyed the many events. I never received a welcome ceremony when I returned from Afghanistan. I was transported from one hospital to another. Thank you for the welcome home ceremony. I will never forget it. My only complaint is that it didn’t last longer. I’ve fallen in love with this group and I’m sad that I have to leave them. Thank you to the American Legion, VFW and the Warrior Weekend". Name: SGM David Valentin "The reception from the community was very warm and patriotic. The check-in was so smooth with the Warrior Weekend team engaged with the hotel staff to help us feel welcomed throughout our stay, day and night. That should be considered “over the top”. VFW reception dinner was inviting and food delicious and hot, as in good. Our train ride was unforgettable with a magnificent open air experience of changing autumn foliage, flying bald eagles and a relaxing boat ride. Though some might think the ride to Bethel-Woods as a bit long, we say the trip introduced the young service members to a great American musical culture in a time of national challenges. The older say it was well worth it! New York has great national history also, and we hope this Warrior Weekend event stays around for a long time. Additionally, the Legion breakfast felt like Hometown, USA. The Warrior Weekend team and family and friends are great. The team, in particular, has a special warm spirit of friendship, always with an upbeat attitude that is comforting no matter who or where you are from. You are all real Patriots! Thank you for helping all of us who visited with you to rest and relax". |
