"My girls and I had a wonderful weekend.  I didn’t have to worry about anything and everyone was very willing to help me with my babies.  Cassandra age 9 – Her favorite part of the weekend was that we all got to hang out on the beach.  Abagail age 4 – Abagail was Christmas lights while passing the outlets and that was her favorite.  Nayra age 2 her favorite part was the food.   I really enjoyed a stress free weekend, enjoying my family and watching them just smile and be happy."

"First, I would like to thank everyone that made this wonderful weekend happen.  Secondly, I wouldn’t change a thing about what you guys have put together.  This weekend was amazing and the timeline was great.  You gave us time to ourselves along with making extra time to hit major items such as lunch and dinner.  The museum was outstanding.  Once THANK YOU everyone who put their mind and hand into making this weekend possible for wounded warriors like myself."

"The staff of volunteers was excellent.  Kay, Tom, Buddy and Pete were great!  We enjoyed the American Legion Dinner very much.  Everyone was welcoming.  The best crab cakes we’ve ever had!.  The tour of the Fort Miles bunker was special.  The tour guide was excellent."

"First, we would like to thank the entire organization for their generosity, kindness and hospitality to our family and all they do for our military community.  This weekend was amazing and we feel blessed to have been surrounded by the wonderful people we met and who made our experience amazing and memorable.  Thank you all for serving the military. As sponsors and volunteers without you, this program cannot survive, and other wounded warriors will not have the opportunity to be associated with such wonderful people.  The tour at Fort Miles was exceptional and we want to thank Mike Dunkes and his staff as well. We look forward to future fellowship with you all.  Thanks and all the best to you and your families."

"The drivers who drove us to Rehoboth were excellent.  The Friday Dinner at American legion Post 28 was an honor.  The tour of Fort Miles was excellent.  Enjoyed the time spent at Rehoboth Beach.  The devotion of all the members of the American Legion is exemplary.  What a great honor it was to have the Post Honor Guard salute the troops as they entered the Post.  The accommodations at the hotel were also excellent."

"I AM HONORED AND HUMBLED!!  This was a great experience.  Rod, Dave and Karen have shown us a great time.  This program is outstanding!  I rarely do things like this, even with my family.  The struggles of crowds are a great challenge for me.  But, I did have a great time and experience this weekend.  I did not know or let me say that I have forgotten the joy I see on my families face when we are all out together.  This program brought me a step closer to doing it more often just to see smiles on their faces and to fill their hearts with the emptiness that I have felt for so long.  I truly thank you.  I will never forget this weekend.  May God continue to bless you all!!!"

"Thank you so much Scott, Garth and Donna for treating my family to an awesome weekend.  The Aquarium, the tour of the city and the Liberty Bell were great.  The food and most importantly, feeding the less fortunate.  This will be embedded in my children’s memory and we are grateful for such an unforgettable experience".

"As always, the Warrior Weekend has made another great trip for our family.  It was great to reconnect with the crew of the Warrior Weekend Program as they are more like family than anything.  This weekend was filled with fun and memories that will last a lifetime.  We all got to relax and there was never any pressure to have to do anything.  It was neat learning that the place suits were made in Delaware.  We loved seeing the dolphins, the boat ride and learning more about the island.  My only suggestion is NO Marias and do subs on the beach and the boat ride like we did the year before".

"Always the kindest group of people!  Thank you to the entire Warrior Weekend Program for the dedication to us warriors!  This was a stress less beautiful weekend.  This was a small group that made a huge impact on everyone around.  Thanks again for everything.  The hotel was beautiful.  Activities were perfect!  The joys we have on the Warrior Weekends are far more than anything else!  We are looking forward to many more.  Thanks again".

The children are so excited to be on the boat tour and seeing the dolphins.

Thanks to the American Legion Oak Orchard-Riverdale Post 28 Family for welcoming our troops and their families this weekend.   Also, a special thanks to Bob Lougheed & the Memphis Mafia for the tribute to the troops by putting on an outstanding show.  Everyone enjoyed it and the children were especially mesmerized!

"To the Warrior Weekend Team, thank you so much for the wonderful weekend.  My daughter and I felt the love.  It's people like you who remind me serving my country was the best decision I could have made.  For those who served before me, thank you for serving and making the transition out of the army memorable and enjoyable.  God Bless you all."

"This weekend was great!  It provided me the opportunity to get away from Fort Belvoir and enjoy fellowship with friends and supporters of the military.  The Air Museum was awesome.  See the C5 and meeting the crew chief who was on the C5 when the first IBM was launched was amazing.  The Elvis Show was warm and lots of laughs and good music.  The restaurant selection and food at the Just in Thyme was simply outstanding."

"What an amazing trip!  The American Legion was amazing.  We love to be able to see our family and friends again.  Thank you to everyone at the Warrior Weekend Program.  It was a stress free enjoyable weekend and we had great food as well.  The only change that could be made is to make the weekend longer.  Thanks again for everything.  This is such an amazing program with people who really care."

"What a great weekend!  These trips are like the family being able to reconnect!  This second family (the Warrior Weekend Program) goes above and beyond to make these weekends as stress-free and as memorable as possible for all the soldiers and their families.  We have developed a friendship that will last a lifetime.  Our kids have adopted everyone in the program as an aunt or uncle.  Bob "Elvis" and his crew were amazing and the kids loved the show!  Kayla loved all the shrimp she got to eat.  Samantha loved all the sandwiches from the show.  Levi loved all the snuggles!  Liz and I enjoyed the rest our arms got from everyone wanting to hold Levi.  My only suggestion is to hand out the comment sheets on Friday so it can be filled in after the events".
