"The food at the hotel and Zogg's was amazing. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the flexibility to do what we wanted to. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and we were reprimanded by a waitress both times for our children's behavior. Maybe you can tell people not to bring kids." Name: Sergeant First Class Angela Denise "I wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived, the hotel arrangements were perfect for my family and I. The food was amazing. I had so much time to relax and be with my family. I like the flexibility of not having a scheduled time for activities. I would not ask for anything to be improved. This was the perfect weekend to spend with my family. My family and I are extremely appreciative." |

"We had a wonderful weekend. Michelle and I loved the hotel. Even though the last hotel (Fairfield Inn & Suites) was amazing this one blew away our expectations. The only thing I would say is the food. Although the food was awesome, the gluten free and dairy free options were limited. That said we both enjoyed what we ate. I know we came late and missed most of the activities, we will think the dinner and lunch was spot on. And the fact this was free of charge made this experience so much more relaxing, especially as both of us are tight right now with me transitioning out of the Army and starting a business. So, to recap, Thank you very much for this amazing weekend." Name: Staff Sergeant Gerald Simpson "The experience was great. Hotel was very nice & clean. All of the volunteers were very nice & helpful. I can't thing of anything to umprove upon. Thank you for everything." |

"Day 0 - Upon arrival to the hotel, everything is smooth. Jim and Tom are very helpful and informative. The free spending money is wonderful. Day 1 - The boat ride/trip was excellent. Very educational. Food is great during dinner. Day 2 - Quality time with family time is very much needed and everything is wonderful. Food is great during dinner. Overall, my family and myself are very thankful for the experience and I do not have any improvement comments. Everything went well and Jim & Tom (event organizers) are friendly and organized. Programs like this one are such a blessing. Thank you very much for everything you guys do. Thank you for you continued support for our soldiers." Name: SSG Terell Echols, Fort Belvoir, VA "The view from the hotel balcony was beautiful. Arrangements were perfect for a family of six (6). The breakfast was delicious and the local restaurants had great food as well. Everything was specific and no changes need to be made. We have no complaints! We really enjoyed our trip. Moose & Tom were excellent hosts. They treated everyone nice with respects and interacted wit everyone!" |

"The hotel was very good. The pool was closed so we were unable to use it. The hotel breakfast was great. The itinerary was great and really liked the free time. I think the weekend was very balanced and would not change a thing. Every thing was very nice and convenient. We were very comfortable during our stay, We had a lot of fun overall." Name: SSG Jarelle Turner, Toano, VA "This was my first time going on a sponsored trip with Warrior Weekend and overall me and my family had an awesome time. Mr. Gallagher and Mr. Dahl were great hosts of this weekend. They were very family friendly which encouraged the group to become more social altogether. As far as the whole weekend, I would give it a 5 star rating. The only downer was the service and quality of the food at The Village Restaurant, but we know that was a reflection of the local staff and not the Warrior Weekend organization. This experience has certainly convince me to enroll in more events hosted by Warrior Weekend! Thanks for the awesome trip!!" |

"I totally enjoyed the entire weekend. The hotel arrangements were pretty smooth with no issues. Hotel had food and any extras needed were readily available and easy to access. The food here and breakfast buffet was excellent. I liked the fact that the itinerary allowed for plenty of time to spend out sightseeing and relaxing at will. I enjoyed the dinner and activities we spent together which allowed my family to get to know the other families. I think the scheduled activities were just enough to enjoy everyone comfortably. I feel like Joe and Jim were awesome and hospitable hosts. Thank you for allowing me to participate in this Warrior Weekend Program." Name: Staff Sergeant Brent Watts - Hometown Newry, SC "The WWP has been the best experience I've had in the military. Jim & Joe were absolute gentlemen and we can't wait to come to the next event. Our family needed this. It's been a rough couple of years since we began transitioning out of the Army and this has been like a beacon of light for us to relax and enjoy the free time we've been given." |

"This weekend was a memorable experience for my entire family and of course myself. My children were able to attend and experience their first professional MLB game and so many other memories & experiences were created during this Warrior Weekend. The events planned for the weekend with our planned activities worked out seamlessly. The accommodations at the hotel were fine with one exception. If larger rooms could be provided for larger families, especially for families with older children. The food and service the hotel provided were definitely to our satisfaction. Overall a great weekend." |

The whole family loved it and had a great time. The group dinner was also amazing. The food and location was very accommodating and family friendly. Overall, everything was great. Thank you for such a fun & relaxing weekend. Thank you for all the support that you all provide for the soldiers. I look forward and definitely will sign up for the next event in the future." Name: Sergeant First Class Marcos Rios "This was a perfect family weekend. The itinerary provided us time to spend time together as a family. The planned events and activities were perfect. "My wife, Lisa, and I had an amazing weekend. It started off rough because my wife is gluten free and 7 months pregnant but with Buddy's help we were able to get her food for the boat trip the following day. The boat trip was amazing. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided us an unbelievable trip. The two diners that were scheduled were great and provided plenty of options. The itinerary provided plenty of opportunity for my wife and I to spend plenty of time together and enjoy the scheduled activities. We would definitely participate in another weekend. Thank you Warrior Weekend!!!" Name: Captain Heidorn "The hotel and arrangements were very nice. It is rare that we stay in a hotel. When we do, we tend to go cheap over comfort. The accommodations were a wonderful treat! The hotel breakfast had a nice variety. The waffles were a hit! The itinerary provided us with flexibility. We don't get true family time during our normal day to day routine so this was perfect. Scheduled activities were helpful to keep things moving and provide opportunities for things we otherwise may not have done. We really enjoyed the boat ride. Maybe not for everyone, but our typical dinner time falls between 6:30 - 7:30. For our family a later dinner would have been ideal. But, I'm certainly not complaining. The food was fantastic. This was an absolute blessing of an opportunity! We are so caught up in life, work, kids, stresses and never do anything like this to slow down and just enjoy our family. So thankful to have been part of your amazing program!" |

"Upon arriving from a long trip, we were welcomed graciously. The trip and vacation was laid out for us very neatly. During my family's stay, we enjoyed the restaurants which were very fine dining for sure. We had ample time to go out on our own to drop a line in the water and catching many sea bass and crabs. My family also enjoyed our time at the beach watching me fail miserably try to launch a fishing kayak into the Atlantic ocean. The volunteer staff for the Warrior Weekend Program were very kind and delightful. They made this vacation relaxing with a very friendly atmosphere the whole time. I couldn't think of not one thing I would want to change about this trip." Name: Staff Sergeant Tyler DeFrangesco, KIng of Prussia, PA "Infor amation was distributed well in advance. Buddy met me in the hotel lobby when I arrived and provided all info I'd need to include places to eat and things to see. The planned events were a great way to get everyone together and everybody showed up even though it was voluntary. The group knew a lot about the event and made great suggestions. I'd recommend the Warrior Weekend for anybody that's able to attend. I'll likely be attending another event in the future. Thank you to all of the volunteers that made this trip possible. I know I needed a getaway and the families felt welcome." Name: SSG Narenda Banstola, Spring TX "No amount of thank you is enough for the generosity and effort put in place by Warrior Weekend members to arrange for this relaxing weekend program. This provides much needed mental relaxation away from daily appointments and treatments. Thank you again for going above and beyond to arrange the weekend of relaxation and reflection for us and our families." |

"The hotel was excellent and in a perfect location. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were excellent. The gift card for food was very generous and covered both of our meals. Additionally, the money provided for incidental costs covered tips to staff and meals in the town. The two planned events were very fun and a great way to get to know the volunteers. We were able to split our time perfectly with relaxing and planned activities. Getting to know the ladies at the Amvets 22 was nice and their food was amazing. The amount of days is just right which allowed us a travel day to arrive. Everything was planned perfect and stayed on time. All the materials provided were accurate and helpful to the area and events. All communication from the sponsors were timely and we always had a greeter everywhere. We wouldn't change anything. It really was perfect weekend get away for us. THANK YOU!!!" |

"The hotel was beautiful. It was a little tight for a family of 6 kids but we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent. Great service and atmosphere. The itinerary provided sufficient flexibility to spend as a family. It was a wonderful weekend and we were extremely grateful for your staff and their hard work. I was especially grateful for the members of AmVets and their warm reception and dinner. It was truly a blessing to our family. Thank You! I did think about going on a charter fishing trip with the family but did not know how that might work regarding timeline and schedule. Ultimately, I was not really prepared for it at this time but I could definitely see how fun it might be for the future. We really enjoyed this trip and are grateful for your time and effort. Thank You!" |
We can't thank the ladies from AmVets 22 Auxiliary enough for the outstanding job they did for our troops and their families to make them feel special. The food, the kindness, the detail were exceptional. They are the best!!

"As always this is the most beautiful relaxing time we have had. We are extremely humble to be able to continue to see everyone that we now consider family. Thank you for all our special memories we make each time we are together. The hotel was amazing! The only thing we could change is to spend more time with everyone with the Warrior Weekend." Name: Major Marthana Loddy, Haymarket, VA "The Plaza Boardwalk Hotel was amazing, peaceful, and an eclectic treat for me any my family. Something we would never have indulged in if not for Warrior Weekend. The restaurant was one of our favorite things, sitting outside on the beach. And we loved Emeril and Moose. Add in the American Legion Post 17 & 28, and we were beyond humbled to have this experience. I personally feel like there is nothing about this experience I would change. If a peaceful existence is the goal, it was one of the most peaceful experiences of my career. Thank you so much. P.S. It's this hotel & staff and the people at the American Legion that made this trip beautiful." Name: Staff Sergeant Frederick Hink, Woodsteak, VA "Hotel arrangements were excellent! Food at the hotel was great! Itinerary was good, enjoyed the Elvis Show, very nice. Enjoyed having down time and just relaxing. Enjoyed sharing during meal time. Enjoyed company. Overall, great time. Thank you so much." |

"I can't say enough great things about the Rehoboth Beach Delaware trip. From the time you settle in to the beautiful hotel, you realize you are in for a weekend of relaxation. The trip allowed me to disengage with my family. I had time to listen to the sound of the waves and was given time to explore, rest and laugh. The committee members of the Warrior Weekend Program were easy going, fun to be around and engaging. They were attentive to the needs of their guests. I love the interaction they had with the children of guest and made them feel special. The location, scheduled activities and the weekend was second to none I thank you from my husband and myself." Name: Sergeant Dominique Elliot "I would like to start off by saying there was good communication prior and during the weekend. Ms. Karen stayed up late to greet us when we arrived very late. I was able to make it to the dinner Friday night. I really truly enjoyed myself. My son had a blast the entire weekend. Everyone was very nice at the dinner and the hotel staff. The food at the hotel was great! I loved the breakfast. The itinerary was flexible and provided other things to do with my son. I liked not having scheduled activities. Everything was perfect and no changes are needed." |
